DigitalOne delivers an advanced, highly scalable, modular,
easy to integrate, workflow enabled, document capture
and delivery platform that transforms document-based
electronic information into knowledge assets.
Document
Source Interfaces
DigitalOne harnesses the most commonly available capabilities
of document originating systems:
- Paper - Paper for hard copy documents using any
twain compliant scanners and OCR Capable components
- Print Stream - Recognizing and parsing contents
of print streams from mainframes, UNIX and windows
platforms. Any windows based system can print to the
DigitalOne Print Driver and the files can be parsed,
cataloged and made available for deliver.
- Email - DigitalOne email interface can monitor multiple
email accounts and capture the documents for the DigitalOne
experience.
- Fax - The fax interface can monitor multiple fax
numbers and make the documents available for processing
and delivery in the DigitalOne Repository.
- Import - Importation is the other method of bringing
electronic files, such as office suite documents,
graphics, audio and video clips into the DigitalOne.
These files remain in their native formats and can
be viewed using the originating applications.
- Database Access - Standard ODBC/JDBC support allows
for connecting to standard relational databases for
information access from DigitalOne.
- Web Services - Systems that support web services
can be plugged in for access through DigitalOne by
using the built in Web Services plug in.
Document
Delivery Interface
DigitalOne provides a ubiquitous multi-modal documents
and information delivery interface to interested parties
- both stakeholders and information systems. Documents
can be made available to multiple recipients at once
without manual intervention. Recipients have a choice
of multiple delivery mechanisms based on their preference:
- Web Delivery - Documents and Information is queued
over a web interface for viewing, printing, download,
fax and/or email. Any access and/or activity on the
document as it relates to the above distribution options
are audited.
- Print - Unsolicited print capabilities allow the
document to be printed to a remote printer. This activity
can be audited.
- Download - Unsolicited download capabilities allow
the document to be downloaded to a remote file system.
This activity can be audited.
- Fax - Automatic faxing capabilities allow the information
to be routed to recipients fax number. This activity
can be audited.
- Email - Documents themselves or links to documents
can be emailed to recipients email. This activity
can be audited.
- Web Services - Information of interest can be delivered
via web services to interested information systems.
- DB Access - Information delivered to DigitalOne
can be routed to other interested information systems
automatically through direct database access to remote
systems if desired.
Delivered documents can maintain the fidelity of the
originating system with colors, logos, fonts and other
document attributes; or DigitalOne can manipulate the
original output for rich presentation (font, size, color,
highlights and page size) to recipients.
Flexible
and Customizable Workflow Engine
Highly customizable workflow objects allow the customization
of the DigitalOne Systems to support business process
workflows. Besides a few generic out-of-the-box workflows,
DigitalOne can also be quickly customized to suite the
customer's unique workflow needs.
Subscriber
Broadcasting and Marketing Tool
DigitalOne can be extended to act as the distribution
and delivery platform for marketing messages, newsletters
and other communications to subscriber lists.
Alert
Engine
Online collaboration on documents is a valuable productivity
enhancement tool for any organization. Versatile DigitalOne
Alert Engine facilitates collaboration by targeting
custom alerts to users either online, via email or pager
about presence of documents requiring action in their
DigitalOne inbox.
Integration
Engine
For any document repository to be really valuable,
it should facilitate quick filing/indexing of documents.
More importantly however, documents in the repository
should be available to the users at the point where
they need them during their daily business processes.
